For self-managing families in NZ and Australia

Everyone who cares, on the same page.

One warm, shared space for the people supporting someone you love. Plan the week together, log support just by talking, and keep the evidence ready for plan reviews.

The everyday reality

You’re the carer. And the scheduler. And the bookkeeper.

Self-managing support means coordinating workers, remembering what happened, matching invoices to the budget, and rebuilding it all at plan review. Hub brings it into one place, and the records build up as you go.

The group chat“Did anyone write up Tuesday?” 47 unread.

Their voice at the centre

It starts with the person, not the paperwork.

Hub is built on supported decision-making principles. Capture what matters in their own words, so everyone who supports them knows what a good day looks like.

  • Preferences in their words. About me, my day, people, places, health and plans.
  • Their own login. They can use their own Hub as the decision maker.
  • Their own summary. Take a family summary into a review and speak for themselves.

Talk, don’t type

Say what happened. Hub writes it up.

Tap the mic after a visit and talk. The session record fills in as you speak: when, where, what happened, any follow-up. You check it and save. Nothing is saved until you confirm it.

  • Session notes in about a minute, linked to the right budget category.
  • Concerns and incidents by voice, recorded with time and author.
  • An assistant that takes instructions: “Add Thursday’s swim to the calendar.”

One team, one week

A shared plan everyone can follow.

Set up the week once: who’s doing what and which reports are due. Everyone sees the same plan, ticks off their part and leaves a note. Tasks, calendar, pinboard and chat sit alongside, so nothing gets lost in a group chat.

Ten ready-made roles with plain-language permissions. A support worker logs sessions without seeing the budget. A plan manager sees money and evidence, not health details.

Evidence ready when you are

Plan review in one click, not one weekend.

Sessions, invoices, concerns and documents add up as you go. When a review comes, pick a date range and export a pack: Support summary, Funding evidence, Plan review, Family summary, Concern and incident, or Worker activity.

  • Budget categories you set, with spend and what’s left at a glance.
  • Invoices linked to sessions and receipts kept with them.
  • Logged with a tamper-evident hash, and can’t be edited after export.

Clear about our role

Hub organises your evidence. You and your funder make the decisions.

Hub is

  • A shared workspace for the care circle
  • A place to record sessions, invoices, concerns and documents
  • A way to export evidence for reviews and audit conversations
  • Designed to support NDIS and NZ IF record keeping

Hub is not

  • A plan manager, IF host or NDIS provider
  • A claims, payment or payroll system
  • A worker marketplace
  • Clinical, legal or financial advice

For plan managers, IF hosts, coordinators and advocacy organisations

Families arrive organised.

Point families to one dignified, plain-language tool, and receive organised evidence packs instead of email bundles.

Plan managers and IF hosts

A Plan Manager role shows money and funding evidence without health details by default. Less chasing for receipts.

Support coordinators

One workspace that captures support as it’s delivered, so plan reviews start from records, not memory.

Advocacy and peer groups

A tool that keeps the person at the centre, with role boundaries families can understand.

Questions

What families ask us.

Who is Hub for?

Families and individuals who self-manage disability support in New Zealand (Individualised Funding) or Australia (NDIS self-management), and the workers and professionals around them.

Does Hub tell me what’s claimable?

No. You choose the funding category for each cost. Your plan manager, IF host or the NDIA decides what’s funded.

Does Hub pay invoices or submit claims?

No. Hub records and organises them, so you can send clean evidence to whoever pays or approves.

Who can see what?

Everyone gets a role. Support workers log sessions without seeing the budget; plan managers see money and evidence without health details by default. You can also create your own roles.

How does voice logging work?

You speak, Hub drafts the record, and you check it before saving. Nothing is saved without you confirming it.

Do I need Volition?

No. Hub’s preference profile and supported decision-making approach work on their own. Volition is a partner organisation.

What does it cost?

Hub is in beta. Pilot families and partners use it free while we build it together.
